Why work at Coupa?

I continue to work at Coupa as we are a high-growth company that positively impacts our customers.  Coupa is a transparent company for which to work. We have a direct and respectful communication style that people are comfortable with.  I am well supported and personally enabled in my role, and whilst I travel as needed, I can work remotely and know that I can utilise my time to impact our growth substantially.  Finally, the Coupa village is real!  I work and collaborate daily with strong people from different backgrounds and have fun while making an impact!

What was your candidate experience?

It was a long time ago now (2017).  But I remember the personal nature of the interview process stood out for me.  The approach to scheduling was personal, and when I flew to my interviews in Dublin, I was greeted and made to feel comfortable by the scheduler.  I was interviewed by the leader of Coupa in Ireland, and whilst it was a well-structured interview, I was made to feel relaxed and that my time was valued.  I also remember the strong focus throughout the process on the Coupa core values, which resonate with me today as much as they did then.

What is your top tip to applicants?
For those considering a career at Coupa, my advice is simple-be yourself.  Coupa is an open and transparent organisation that values authenticity and individuality. So, don't be afraid to show your true colours and let your unique qualities shine through.  Secondly, be prepared.  Work with your recruiter to understand the role and the competencies and behaviours needed to succeed.  Come to the interview with real-life examples that relate to those competencies.

What is one tip you would give to someone looking for a new opportunity?
Don't settle.  Find a company that aligns with your values and a company that will develop and stretch you.
